Default Non-OEM air filter?

I am trying to save a little $$ by buying a non-OEM air filter. The NAPA and Purolator ones I have looked at are too big, although they supposedly are drop-in replacements.

Does anyone have the correct part numbers for a NAPA, FRAM or Purolator engine air filter for the X350?

I would like to know for the cabin filter too. Filter says Ford, but could not translate the number on it to any known car at NAPA.

Just recently changed the filter due to the fact that the old one was clogged with dirt, for some reason the dealer never changed it.

I started with Napa Gold Wix #2261 for $14, but it seemed too big and when lined up next to the old filter, that was confirmed so I went to the dealer but the $26 filter they had was too big too and looked just like the Napa.

Well, as it turned out, for some reason the old filter was too small, even though it looked like a perfect fit. The new filter has to be squeezed into place apparently.

I ended up just getting a genuine part. Too much headache for so little benefit!

I had bought the NAPA version and couldn't get it to fit.
I went to the dealer and bought the air/cabin filters.
My car did have the ford cabin filter; part no. 2W93 - 19G244-AB 052 9

HI there, I also have a 2005 XJ8L and bought a Beck-Arnley cabin air filter replacement and found it is larger than the filter installed there…so, to confirm, the only replacement you have had luck with is from the Jaguar dealer? Thanks for any additional help.

The Jag dealer here charges about $12 for it, no reason to go elsewhere.

Wait...is the Beck Arnley a tight fit or does it not fit at all?

tight is good, it keeps air and dirt from being sucked in from around the edges of the filter and housing.
