Default Pedal Travel

I've seen some posts on The Forums, but I am a bit confused as to how I can replace the mechanism that drives the brake and accelerator pedals travel. I'd just as soon replace than repair. I have leads on recycled parts and I found a diagram on alldatadiy.com.

So, in simple terms for my simple mind, what's the best way to fix this problem? Any information with as many details as possible would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been told that pads and rotors will reset. As they wear the pedal travel increases. Not sure how to adjust.

i think O/p might mean the power adjustable pedal drive mechanism, that moves the pedals forward and backwards ?

Exactly...sorry my 'simple language' was confusing. I want to replace the pedal assembly or the drive screw mechanism(s) so I can adjust the pedal movement toward/from firewall.
Thanks.

Default Pedal Adjustment XJ8

YES! Precisely! Thank you. Will bookmark for future reference. I am of the mindset that if it's supposed to work and won't...fix it! Just the way I was 'learned'.

Now the search for the brake assembly. Plently of accelerator assemblies on-line; let the games begin.
