Default Brake Servo Sucking In Air. Right Leg Getting Huge!

As per the thread title, today I started to hear a sucking of air type noise when I depressed the brake pedal. This has now escalated to intermittent loss of servo assistance with the associated effort on my part in stopping the car!

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-advice-32702/

I found the above thread and unless things have changed, I don't think it's repairable so a new replacement will be required. Do any of my Aussie brothers and sisters have and recommendation for a provider?

My guess is that I'll be giving Jagdaim (Melbourne, VIC) a call in the morning?

Only replaced the MC last year. Bummer.

A rekit of that booster is in order. You know that already?.

Used to be an ABS in Queanbeyan, not sure if they still there. They did them.

Any half decent brake specialst can put a diaphragm in them, no different principle to Ford/Holden/Toyota/etc.

Grant, I tried a few places other than Jagdaim and all said they'd need to take a look, but guessed around A$300-350 to repair if at all and I would need to take it off the car, let them open it up and assess.

Jagdaim will do one for A$420 exchange (although none on the shelf at the moment), so I think I'll just go with that. At least I know it will be a done deal.

Things have changed.

That sounds like a good plan, as you siad, at least it will be done right the first time.

Sid, that is a very kind offer, but I don't want to take the car off the road for more than a day or two. To that end, getting and exchange unit from Jagdaim is probably going to be the easiest/quickest route.

Thanks again.
