Jackra!
What would we do without your advice? You have responsibilities you know.

Best regards
Chris

I have accepted an offer. Just waiting for logistics to get sorted.

Before anyone asks it will be up to the buyer to allow me to post the actual price agreed when all is said and done.

Nice. If I didnt have my 04 XJR I would've been down to you with cash in hand.

Glad it's working out!

The car has been sitting in the garage for quite a while so took it for a "test" drive this morning.

So all is good!

Located in MD. It is under offer at the moment. Just working out logistics for shipping across the country.

Great condition car! I’ve also got an 05 XJR for sale with several upgrades albeit pricier in excellent condition. Feel free to look at my post history for the link

So only waiting for a firm price from the transport company from here in MD to WA.

That is the only item left to complete.

Quite a story on transporter quotes that end up being less than firm. One example is where the price went up by $1,000 after the original quote.

Thanks to those who have shown interest in buying this car.

Ran into a similar situation with a motorcycle, i bought over the computer.
I live in Ohio, bike in Pa, near Pa State, 200+ miles away.
Was told easy no issues, a space in front of trailer, just behind the cab.
We do it all the time, & will call you in a day or two, three for sure.
After two weeks, i got together with a friend, with a van
Equipped with a hitch, & wired for trailer lights.
That week end, now 3 weeks, rented a trailer, from U Haul
Made to haul motorcycles, & hauled it ourselves.
A week or so later, they finally called to get the addresses.
Thanked them, for the incentive to get my rear in gear, & get it myself.

Yeah, have some horror transport stories. Best was a personal trailer from GA to NJ, picked up and delivered within 36 hours. Getting my 71 Riv from NV to NJ was a PITA but not bad.

Lowest price isn't always the best - after all these are brokers that either... want money up front or charge you ahead of time even though they don't have a carrier lined up.

It's really "hit or miss"...

Thats the problem exactly.

Many quotes are based on the "possibility" of lining up a carrier.

Ive had both good and bad experiences shipping. Ive used Uship in the past. Have you tried them? Companies Bid on your transport...Check ratings of shippers though if you go that route

The buyer has gone thru a lot of research and is negotiating with one particular company right now.

not to be a wet blanket or pessimist but get your money pre ship because maryland to washington state is a long ways for wierd things to happen. Most of all congrats on the sale and hope to hear from the new owner on the forum. No repair questions of course just happy experiences with the car

About the same as buying a house, so both are covered financially.

Just waiting for it to be picked up now.

So I regard it as sold.
