Powerloss XJR
Hello guys, I am new here. Thank you for your attention. I have bought my first Jag and it is 2005 XJR. But there are some issues about it. Feels like it is not fast enough like powerloss or something. 0-100 running similar to XJ8 X308 and it is about 8s 0-100km/h. So quite far from XJR reality. No errors on dashboard, no errors on diag, everything looks ok. Milleage - 250,000. Could be powerloss be affected by not replaced timing chain after such a milleage? Waiting for your answers, guys. Thank you very much!
I doubt it is anything to do with the timing chain. What is the service history like? Could be blocked fuel filter, low fuel pressure, spark plugs past their best. Do you have a code reader to check for any error codes or an obdII Bluetooth adapter so you can use you phone with an app like torque or similar.
Or could the brakes be binding?
