Problem w driver side window
Now all of a sudden the window refuses to go up and down...... all the other windows work but not my window.... Is it time for a new master window switch or can this thing be fiddled with?
will try this wk because its an intermittent problem. I wanna ask you when you push the switch up or down do you feel a bit of a click to indicate you have activated the one touch operation? I feel it in only 1 of the 4 switches and am taking an educated guess that they are supposed to click.. Please confirm if possible... Also what entails in removing the Master Window Switch? Do I have to remove the door panel? I am hoping you dont .....
Yes there is sort of a click you can feel. Just take the armrest off by removing the screws underneath it. Use some electronic contact cleaner. Could be dirty or could be worn.
A new switch pack is about $200.

The one I'm having trouble with is my map lights! The button connections seem to be dirty or something?

There are a few more for around $60 or so too. Make sure you get the right one, if you have power folding mirrors or do not have power folding mirrors...there are 2 different ones.

Thanks for following up!
I am exactly the same way as you--I want my cars to look and drive like brand new. Unfortunately, maintaining these exacting standards is very very costly, which is the whole reason I try to drive another car most of the time, as you may recall. Doing so also helps me to be less sensitive to this car's gremlins.
To get my car to brand new, I think I will need to have the following done:
1. Replace headliner (some sagging underneath visors)--$600
2. Replace tires (some vibration at highway speeds, probably flatspotting)--$800
3. Repair/repaint wheels--some chips are visible--$150/wheel
4. Replace power steering pump/rack (stumbling in hot temps)--~$3000?
5. Replace shift knob (cracked)--$70
6. Fix minor clunking sound in transmission (perhaps drain/refill tranny)--$200
7. Transmission reflash/TCM clearing--$300
8. Engine ECU reflash to address knocking issue--$150
It all adds up to a crazy sum of money, and this is on TOP of normal maintenance.
I think you have already been experiencing this. A used car that is seemingly already in tip top shape can always be improved. You've replaced all kinds of stuff already, including the window master switches, A/C vent knob, and are still trying to figure out what's going on with a grinding sound at 10mph!

Lmao you are right Alan. Thus far I've changed the master window switch and the 2 subwoofers. Next up is the fog lamps as I ordered a xenon kit 3000k yellow.... Already working on headliner options. I want alacntra for sure... Other then that so far so good...
