Default pulled too hard on steering knuckle, what broke?

i swapped the air shocks for arnott coilovers and on the drivers side front i pulled the steering knuckle down hard while trying to get the new shock in there. i pulled and heard a pop then there was no more resistance. i'm hoping its just a bushing that broke since i was planning on replacing them anyway. it was already dark and i've been sick since yesterday so i just wanted to get the car on the ground so i could get inside and take some theraflu.

thanks for any help

No way to know without a picture. Did you remove the sway-bar link? Did you loosen it but the bolt holding the link didn't come out? If it was unbolted but didn't come out, maybe it popped out when you pulled down, and there's nothing to worry about.

I seriously doubt that a human arm can actually break anything in the front suspension

If you did not disconnect the ride height sensor you possibly broke it.
