Questions About Retrofitting Voice Activated Control
Hello everyone my name is Steve I'm the proud owner of a 2003 xj6 sport.
I've sorted out most of the work on the car only the rear discs and pads and fit Bluetooth. Now I'm starting to do some research on retro fitting voice my stack in the boot is as follows.
Sat navigation dvd
Cd changer
Phone
The car also is fitted with an alpine stereo system.
To add voice I understand that I'll have to replace the d2b cable with a five way is this correct??
Does anybody know if the car is fitted with the voice module harness??
If not then where does it connect to??
Under the back seat?? Or c piller??
If anyone has retro fitted a voice module please can you give me some advice. Yours sincerely Steve Evans

However the D2B fiber optic cabling is a continuous loop and components in that loop have to be in the correct order. It is relatively easy to add in DB2 fiber cabling.
Also in my trunk the electrical connections for VACM and Jaguar Bluetooth were already in place just taped up behind the stack in the trunk.
Also a microphone and an aerial are requirements.
