Radiator/Engine Splash Guard
I have a 2006 XJ8 (X350) later model and need to replace the radiator/engine splash guard. It is the plastic piece underneath and behind the front bumper that needs to be removed when changing the oil filter. Any suggestions please?
I found this hopefully this will help you out, well you have part number to work with this is from the 04-05 XJ8 parts lists
good luck

I bought this 2006 XJ8 used and took it in for an oil change, that's when the tech discovered that the engine under tray was missing. I'm not sure how critical it is down here in Florida, but I would like to find a replacement.
Haha,
Ten years after your post, I'm having the same problem with the splash panel on my 2006 XJ Vanden Plas. Did you ever figure out how to fix or replace it?
I do need it here in Columbus, Ohio with our nasty salt/gunk splashes in the winter.
Thanks,
Mark H.

In locations where winter salt is an issue, such as the US rust belt and Europe, the main problem is the mild steel zinc-plated fasteners becoming corroded. When the owner or service department has difficulty in removing the undertray, the common solution is to remove it and throw it away. This of course is not the best answer, which is to replace the fittings with stainless steel items and repair the undertray. There are kits of stainless steel fasteners available on the usual online stores.
Where I live, there is no salt on the roads, so I don't have the problem, but I did coat all the nuts and bolts with copper grease to prevent them seizing.
In Ohio, which is, I think part of the rust belt, you really need that cover! You may get lucky and find one at a car dismantling yard, but I think they are also available new from a Jaguar dealer.

Pete,
Thanks for responding so quickly.
The splash panel is actually in good shape except the two front screw holes have been torn open.
I'll figure out a way to fix those and then do as you suggested with the screws and grease.
Many thanks.
