I closed the gap in the rain gutter gasket. This resulted in the front of the gasket moving from the base of the a-pillar to ~1 inch above the bottom of the a-pillar. There is now no gap in the gasket by the rear door. I also pulled up the rear gasket (above the rear door striker plate) and resealed it. The car is parked outside and its suppose to rain hard later this morning so I'll see if this ends the water leaking in.

Well first repair did not work. So today I cleaned up around the rubber cover and placed a thin silicone bead around the whole rubber seal (rather than just under it). Seems strange that that much water could get in past that seal. I did notice the narrow trim piece between the seat and the door opening was wet so I guess that's where its coming in. We're suppose to have drenching rain tomorrow afternoon so I'll see if anything is getting in.

Same for me.
The closing of the gap in the gutter rail was not effective, while putting silicon under and around that rubber piece as advised by abonano did it.
It's bone dry now!

May I advise - if you had water ingress pooled by the rear seats your going to need to remove the front seat, get under the carpeting and get a wet vac in there to get that water up, especially on the foam piece.

Been there, done that...

Did that too.
A lot of drying is indeed necessary! And better to do it throughly when knowing all the electrics in the area that can be put into trouble...

Posted this to the wrong thread -
Sealing around the plug did not help. The car is always parked nose up, so no water has gotten under the front seat. So today I slowly poured a quart of water in to the sunroof surround (in case the drains were clogged). I took a while but a steady stream of water came out just a head of the rear wheel. So I assumed the drain was working. I then removed the rear seat bottom and back. Water is coming in higher than the plug there is wetness in the C-pillar area. Seats and sound deadening on the right side were soaked. They are vertical and in the sun drying out. Looking up I see there is staining around the grab handle/rear light and its wet. I'm going back out not to remove that.
So maybe it is the sunroof drain even though it seemed to be flowing. Could be a partial clog? This came up suddenly. I haven't used the car much since I've been working from home. It sat in the driveway unmoved from April to August. When I started using it in August the back was dry. I live in the NYC area so we get rain at least once a week. I used it a little in September and did not notice water back there until end of October. Once I noticed it I've been chasing the solution and shop vac'ing it out after every storm and trying different solutions. A single rain storm will put better than an inch of water back there, so the leak is large and developed in September or October.
I'll report back once I get the light out. I hope I don't need to remove the headliner (its not drooping at all) to fix the leak.

Where should the the rear sun roof drains exit the vehicle. The TSB shows behind the rear wheel. Mine is draining a head of the rear wheel.

I'm in the NYC area myself. (In Manhattan Mon thru Friday) Sounds like your sunroof drains are working ok. I wouldn't mind meeting up showing you exactly what to address to keep those back areas nice and dry.

Would literally take 5 mins to show you...

Best - Anthony

As near as I can figure the rear sunroof drains were partially clogged. I lowered the headliner and blew water through the drain lines. Once I replaced them I poured water into the sunroof track and it drained out behind the rear wheel. I also checked each of the front corners and the other side of the rear. They all drain out. I removed the rear seat, rear mats and C-pillar covers and brought them inside to dry. The car was outside yesterday in very heavy rain and was dry this morning. So I'll reassemble (raise the headliner, install the sound deadening, and both halves of the rear seat) on Saturday.
