Default Rear Seat Belt Receptacle Repair

The tongue will not go into the receptacle the way it should. If you push the red button & continually jiggle the tongue, it will eventually seat & hold and release as normal. However, this is time consuming & awkward, especially if you are having to put your arms over a young damsel to accomplish the task.

It appears that the receptacle could snap apart at the midpoint which is visible in the picture. Has anyone ever attempted to repair one of these? At the very least, I'm inclined to lube it & see if that will restore its function.

I could only find used ones on Google.

Thanks,

Steve

Used one is probably fine.
Many rear seats, look like they have seen little use.

Can't find the right one for my car. Several rear LHs listed on Ebay. One rear RH listed that would work, but mercifully several pictures show it, too, to be a LH.
Did find one listing three rear seat buckles & one is the one I want & the three are only 50 bucks.

Found that adding X350 to my other Google search words significantly increased the number of salient hits. However, it was still difficult to find mine. I persevered and sure nough, one, and I'm convinced the only one, appeared. and for $25 AND FREE SHIPPING!! I will delay atta boys until product arrives. However, as of now, looks great.

I was further impressed when, after I placed the order, I received a request for the vin just to be sure.

More later.

Thank you!

In this increasingly impersonal world, it is refreshing to have such excellent care & service in dealing at the individual level! Your number is in my rolodex; please know that when the need arises, you will be my first call.

May you prosper & flourish!

Steve S.
