One of the rear seat belts in my 2001 XJ8 has gotten jammed and will not pull out and unreel. I have tugged at it various directions and ways, to no avail. What is the least hard way to fix this? Thanks !

 

You will have to remove the rear seat. the belt has become twisted,it is an easy job to do. remove the fuse kick panels,undo the screws holding the bottom seat make sure to unplug the seat heater plugs.lift it out then undo the screws that hold the back seat lift upward then you can get to the seat belt. hope this helps

 

Thanks! All seat belts have to be functional in Mass., in order to pass vehicle inspection.

At least I can stop worrying about what a "squab" is .....
