Replacing "Eye Lid" Bulb
Hello-
I noticed this evening that the upper bulb in the Main (High) Beam light is out.
Removing the rear cap, I am able to access the rear of the 'tube' which contains the upper and lower bulb. I am, however, unable to reach in far enough to replace the bulb.
My book does not show procedure for replacing these "eyelid" bulbs. What is the standard procedure for replacement of this bulb?
Please see the photos below showing the drivers side with proper lights lit and passenger side with 'eyelid' bulb out.
Thank you very much-

I believe the book says to reach in and turn it counter clockwise to remove the housing that the bulb is in. You can reach it, just follow the wires to the housing the bulb is in. It is tough to reach, but you should be able to do it.
Thanks, I will give it another look.
Yesterday, I could touch the back of the bulb where the wires connect and I could see it 'wiggle' through the front of the lense.
I have replaced the dipped beams recently, so hopefully these are serviceable too.
Thanks again

yeah, that part you touched is like 3" long, the bulb is in the end of it, just give that a turn and pull it out. It's not easy to reach, but i've pulled mine out twice now...I tried for a third time and now they are stuck, I can't get them out
Good description on the bulb housing...
Using a hand mirror, I looked into the rear of the headlamp assembly. From there, I could see an upper and lower plastic 'squeeze clip'. Using a stubby screwdriver, I applied downward pressure to the upper clip. With that, the assembly could be removed by pulling on the wires.
The routing of the wires cause the assembly to rotate on the way out, but I don't think twisting is required to remove.
Check the pics below to see bulb type, housing and the clips...
Thanks
