reverse alarm not working
again an 04 xj8 no alarm... i tryed my spare parking aid controller still no alarm does the fact that it is a 4 channel have something to do with it????????----thanks

If you are getting no sounds at all it could be the speaker. Apparently it is a solid state thing and it is located on top of the parcel shelf ie under the trim.
Since you have a spare car you could try a substitution.
You need to access it by removing rear part of rear seat
