Default RP plus codes

Hi, Sudden RP occurred with the following codes: (Tried a thread search but couldn't get quite the same combo of codes in the history books
0205
0305
1313
1316
The car is not firing correctly and has no acceleration. It has 62k mls and I was thinking the easiest thing to do first is to replace the fuel filter as it's due anyway. Looking for other suggestions please too...
PS it seemed sudden, not a gradual decline.

I have pasted below the code from the Engine Control Guide. For futur reference you can go to this link and download the guide. JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

You have a circuit malfunction for injector number 5. It is the second cylinder on the front left hand side when viewed from the rear of the engine.

I would first inspect the wiring and plug for damage or corrosion before condemning the injector. If they are all good then the injector needs to be replaced. Try not to drive until repaired as you are causing damage to the catalytic convertot.

One other thing i just realized, this is right after my CA smog test was done. Is there something the tester could have disturbed that then took a couple of days to start throwing up codes?

I would not think so. They normally look under the hood for aftermarket modifications. They would have no need to pull the engine covers and the injectors are under them.
Washing the engine compartment or a heavy amount of water can disturb things, You will need to take a look and see what shape things are in under the cover.
It also isn't unheard of for critter to snuggle up to a nice warm engine and gnaw wires.

Thank you! per the 1313/16 codes could it be the ignition coil that seems to be a common issue rather than the injector?

Please always include the LETTER in the code and then it makes sense to use Search to find more out about what they mean and what to do.

UPDATE: went ahead and had the injector replaced and so far so good, fingers and everything else crossed that it stays that way. Mechanic said the injector "was completely dead".
