Default Satellite Radio Hookup

Hello all, I just purchased a 2004 XJR, and I noticed that it came installed with this selection of satellite radio hookups, and wanted to know how these interact with the stereo system in this car and if I can use it as a general aux in. The other question is that does this mean that my vehicle has the audio connectivity module installed? I saw a previous post about a user who had installed one of these hookups in his car, but he had the base stereo system and not the touchscreen unit.

Thanks!

That looks to me like an aftermarket power/antenna connect hookup using Sirus/XM parts. My mechanic used their kit to install one on my X300L. It was wired in behind the radio to pull power and go into the head unit. It overrode the signal from the antenna when an XM unit was hooked up and turned on.

Looks like aftermarket to me, as well.

If the car has the audion connectivity module installed, there should be a USB port and a switch under the central armrest.

Best regards,

Thomas
