The passenger's seat module failed on my 2002 XJR. The varistor was burned up on the module and non of the electric motors in the seat would run. I bought a used seat module and now everything is OK again. While studying the bad seat module, i have many questions. The part number is LNC2160AD/XXX, so this must be a part shared with Lincoln? The passenger's seat does not have the memory feature like the driver's seat. therefore why all the IC's in this module. Why is a varistor protecting a circuit of relays running electric motors? It must be protecting the memory circuits from electric motor voltage spikes when they start and stop. The memory circuits shouldn't be in play on the passengers seat. If anyone has a wiring diagram on the memory module I would love to see it. All this is not really important but I am just trying to learn more about my car. I have an XJR & a XKR so you can see I am a Jaguar fan.
