I am considering purchasing a 2004 XJR out of state. It will get shipped to me. My concern is that the last car I shipped got chained down and ratcheted REALLY tight, completely compressing the suspension nearly all the way down!
Would this damage the air shocks on the XJR?

 

I bought my 06 XJR in CA and had it shipped to WA with no problems. Seems most shippers use a material net that covers the tire and then straps to the trailer frame on the front and back side of the tire vs ratcheting down the suspension. No problems or damage on mine.

 

Mine was shipped Florida to NC no problems at all. I would def make sure that the transport company knows how to ship cars and has a good track record though.
