Hey guys, I've been driving around a mates 07 XJ8 lately and was wondering if there is a starting sequence or procedure? I turn the key to the on position, everything lights up just fine, and then it won't turn to the start position, it feels as if its locked almost... Turning the steering wheel back in forth does nothing. I always have my foot on the brake when I attempt to start the car. Sometimes it will turn to start with no difficulty, other times it will only go as far as the on position.

Okay thank you, and it also feels like one key is easier to start the car with than the other.
