Default Steering wheel

I am looking at a used steering wheel that matches my wood (first picture below) but the insides don’t seem to match other listed heated steering wheels (second picture below). The one I am looking at buying has the correct part number listed in the listing but has some wiring and a black box (circled) I don’t see on the other ones. The one I am looking at doesn’t have the horn switch control which is the metal u shaped piece on the second picture steering wheel, but that can be bought separately. Does anyone know what these differences mean and if they are interchangeable?

The one difference I know about is the buttons for the cruise control.

The standard version only has the buttons visible from the top, wheras the one with ACC also has the rocker switch on the side (similar to the one you have on the left side for the audio/telephone controls), used to set the distance settings for the ACC. Maybe the difference relates to this?

Aside from this, to me it looks like someone stripped the steering wheel in the first picture completely, maybe to maximmise profit by selling all parts separately?

Best regards,

Thomas

Will a UK steering wheel fit a US car?

Sorry for the late reply, I just came back from a business trip...

I don't see any reason why it should not fit.

The Jaguar parts catalogue makes distinctions between markest, but not about LHD or RHD, as far as I can see...

Best regards,

By the way: does anyone know what is the correct resistance of the steering wheel heater or maybe someone has the steering wheel on a table and could measure it? Thnx a lot.
