Default Unity shock conversion

This set is now $350 for all 4 struts plus the light eliminator. Has anyone had experience with this brand?

Got the front ones in but the rear seem too long, no matter how hard I press down on the pry bar wedged under the upper arm I can’t get the lower bolt in

Any update on this ?

Unity is being sold on PartsGeek with a limited lifetime warranty
As of 11/8/2025 these are almost $700 cheaper than Strutmaster and $1,200 cheaper than Arnott

I assume it is Chinese knock off - but probably so are the Arnott and Strutmaster
A brand called DIY is also available but at the same price as Arnott

Default Finally got the rear shocks in

I had to disconnect the lower control arm at the hub , put a scissor jack under the shock hub, and gradually hammered the jack under the car until the shock lined up, what a bitc$

I don't have experience with the brand, but at that price I would not think that they are any good.

Best regards,

Thomas

I agree the price just seems too cheap compared to the rest, I have heard horror stories about cheap Chinese wheel bearings and quick struts that don't even last 10,000 miles. But I also think most of that really bad stuff comes direct from ebay and amazon. Unity is showing up on Parts Geek. One other analogy - I am a woodworker and years ago purchased a cheap harbor freight pin nailer to see if it would work for me. It did so I then went out and bought a much more expensive Porter Cable Pin Nailer - it was much worse than the cheap harbor freight one.

#Droneman - how are the Unity Coil overs ? how long have you had them in the car ? Would you do it again or pay extra for the Strutmasters or Arnott

Unity struts are all in and the car rides fine. It is a little high but that’s fine , I’m too old to drop in to low cars now. I’m now dealing with a 0442 and 0456 doc code, I took off the purge valve, tested it , it seems good. The gas goes on and rotates to lick but no clicks so maybe it’s aftermarket I don’t know. I traced the vacuum tube from the engine, no hiss. This friggin won’t pass inspection until this is fixed, but it goes like a raped ape!
