Problem with moon/sun roof on my 2003 XJ8 --
Suddenly, my moonroof will not fully close, but will instead reopen. Attempting to open again just starts the cycle over, I can stop the roof just before it starts to reopen, Pressing the close end of the button, causes a clicking sound, but roof dies not close any further, Any ideas?

I'm assuming when you say 'moon roof' that you have the aluminium bodied X350 and not the earlier steel bodied model?
Both were available as 'XJR' in 2003 which was a model changeover year.
If I'm wrong, post back here and I'll move the thread to X308 tech section.

The clicking sound may be a tooth in the sprocket/gear drive that operates the roof has broken. if this is the case even hand cranking will not close it. Similar to the mechanism that operates the power windows.
