I did a search for sunroofs, and came across a lot of good threads, but not one that addressed the issue I ran into today. When I opened the sunroof today, it made a plastic scraping sound at about the last 1/4 of it's travel. Thinking something may be coming apart, I checked things out when I got home. What I found was a panel that looks like it may be for sound insulation was hanging down on the right side, but not the left. The sunroof was hitting it and folding the thin cardboard/felt over and making the noise. It seems to be bonded to a metal panel, which is also down on that side. I can't find any info on the panel, so I don't know if it's part of the sunroof mechanism, or a separate unit. Does anyone have any insight during their headliner or sunroof work? I've attached some photos of mine, and another showing the panel exposed from Jagman99R's thread on the headliner, look to the right on that photo.
