hello everyone, I noticed that when I go to open the sunroof it makes a noise like its struggling to open, but opens fine. Then when I go to close it automatically it will reach about 75% of the way and then reopen again, but if I go to close it manually by holding the switch it will close all the way. I have just noticed that when I put the tilt up I looked from behind my car and saw that the right side was lower than the left, and I saw that the plastic part holding it up on that side was broken off, does anyone know where I cna find that part, or will I have to redo the whole roof? And also, is that what is causing it to reopen everytime? Somone please help me out, thanks.

 

the part that is broken is called a slider.. you will have to buy a new left and right hand pieces.. kinda long to replace them..

 

is that part that I need called a tilt and slide mechanism? Its only broken on the right side not left. And if it is that part I had them replaced a little over a year ago.

how did it break off so easy, I just had it replaced last year.

 

Make sure the interior cover isn't binding in the track. These do fail regularly, but shouldn't let go that fast.

 

no never seen them go that fast... maybe panel got caught as ken said..
