sway bar D-bushing replacement
I said in another thread that I noticed a possible way to get to the d-bushings, in my case on a 2004 XJR. Unlike the XK, you cannot get to both sides of the clamp from above because of a support bar that obstructs the forward clamp bolts. By removing the right wheel well liner, you can get to the two bolts on that end of that bar. The ones on the driver side can be accessed without removing the liner. Easy to remove the bolts, but then I could feel an obstruction that prevented moving it out of the way. Felt like a radiator hose. I did not want to force it for fear that I could not lever it back. Bummer. So, my conclusion is to hold off on the bushing replacement until I need to replace or service the radiator. It seems logical that going in from the front is the only route, short of raising the engine. Luckily, mine look pretty good from the sides, and seem solid.
