I am thinking of getting a half-wooden steering wheel (while keeping the original one safely stored), but I can't tell if the one I am looking at would match the rest of the wood trim in my car.

The color seems a bit off, but two different cameras and two different lighting conditions tend to do that.
So the question is were there TWO DIFFERENT wood trims that would be this close in appearance?

Yes, that wheel is right for that dash. The wood wheels are generally lighter than the dashboard and other wood trim.
