I am just about thru my first set of Falken 452s on my XK8. Rears are shot (down to the indicator)... after 31,000 miles. Fronts have about 1/2 tread life left. Love these tires over the original PZero Rossos, and for under $200 a piece, can't beat them.

I am satisfied with the tires. No noise. Although, I've occassionally been experiencing some vibration on the steering - to the extent that I can see the steering shake. Not so sure this is a tire issue, though. Any thoughts, anyone?

BTW, sorry about the delay in responding. For some reason subscription is not working, so didn't get notified on the personal ping...

Mine does it a little also...though I had a bent rim and after repair, is pretty smooth. Check for roundness, and if ok, try to 'road force' balance them instead of the regular static type.

Could be the steering rack itself.

I get steering vibration too but I have felt it in the loaner XJR's the dealer has given me too. Must be the car...

Interesting note though...one of the FK-452's I have on my car blew out yesterday. There was a gash in the sidewall. Spare is on with the old Pirelli P-Zero on it.

Time to do a victory burnout and get two new rear tires!

I get a vibration too. I can have the car still and turn the wheel heavy and feel some vibration. I thought it was just the car too. I am on the fense about whether telling the dealer about this as they'll see it as another opportunity to rip me off...

Well, I finally did go with the Hankook (what a stupid name!) V12 Evo tires on my '06 XJ8L....what a difference! I did much research on "affordable" summer tires, paying close attention to noise/ride characteristics (it's my wifes daily driver), and with the 2nd place standing in a recent Car & Driver tire comparo, I went with the Hankooks, at $178(!) each at Discount Tire. Off came the Pirelli PZeros, and good riddance!
The Hankooks transformed the Jag, and all for the better. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH quieter, takes the expansion strip/ small but sharp bumps in the road and smothers them, MUCH improved ride. The car even handles and corners better on the Hankooks. Dry, wet, all significantly better. I will have wait and see what tread life brings me, but from what I read, that should not be a problem. Bottom line...GET THESE!
