Does anyone have any suggestions for refurbishing or hacking a repair for the side marker light sockets. 3 of mine are severely corroded and I don't feel like paying $50 each for replacements .

Make sure you seal up that light assy where its cracked.

 

I received the replacement sockets and they really are identical. I sealed up all the cracks and applied "vacuum grease" to the o-ring and the connector. It's surprising that they used rubber sealed connectors all over the car but not on such an exposed application. 4 of my connectors were hopelessly rusted out so it's not an isolated thing for them to get wet. Anyway, it's a small thing (we even passed inspection with the side markers out) but very satisfying to have it sorted. Now on to the next thing!

Very nice fix, i will have to get to this as soon as all the more important things are handled.
And i acquire the funds for eight, having two Jaguars means double the parts to bill.
