Default Transmission

2004 VDP with about 99000 kms. Drives beautifully except for a lurch in the transmission when shifting from first to second - all other gears silky smooth. Is this a common problem? Any insight would be appreciated.
Norm.

You have the 6 speed new transmission and we have not had a lot of reports of failures because of accumulated mileage but I would propose that the Jaguar service requirement of 'sealed for life' contributed to you problem.

Yes, a common problem. The 'sealed for life' transmission is probably at the end of its life.

Changing the ATF and filter is a cheap solution but may not have any affect.
