Default Transmission slips when accelerating on hwy (5th or 6th)

My transmission problems dont seem to stop. At 91k miles currently - 05 XJR
Ive had a 3-4 squawk for some time now, that ive learned tolerate. My fluid levels are fine, and the fluid has been changed a few times. ECM has been re-flashed as well.
If Im in 6th gear on the hwy and i depress the accelerator moderately, the trans makes a similar squawk noise and slips slightly, causing the trans to clunk then downshift. If i do this enough it will bring up the gearbox fault message. If i slowly accelerate (ease into the throttle) it does not do this. It had a minor slip in 5th gear today upon moderate acceleration as well.

Im dreading to think this is the end of my E-Clutch, as the squawk noise was likely the clutch packs just wearing down each shift.

I read a thread from BlackKat having slipping and trans issues and it turns out it was a bad coil? Have others had symptoms like this when a coil went out?
Could a coil really produce a slipping event from the transmission? I'm having a hard time picturing that..

Im going to pull the codes today and see what has been tripped..

A few more observations driving today:

any sudden acceleration in any gear (above 35 mph) will cause this slip & squawk noise.
If I use the J-gate shifter and cruise in any gear and punch the accelerator, the trans does NOT slip.

Either my torque converter is letting go or the E clutch is bye bye.

What a bummer, I cant believe the trans is already fading out at 90k, Ive not come across any other person that's had such an issue with the 3-4 squawk/ bad E clutch

I am one for sure on my other X350 with 120K miles. E Clutch was toast

3/4 upshift squalk, slip and "gearbox" fault. Had to let off the accelerator to baby her into 4th gear.

E Clutch handles 4th gear and is a player I believe in 5/6 upshift as well.

I was also able to manager the trans on the manual side without issue but it's only a matter of time before the E Clutch gives out totally and will affect the rest of the trans.

I noticed today that once the torque converter is locked up in any gear and i press the accelerator down a moderate amount it will slip and make some type of groan or squawk noise.
If it was my E clutch going out I wouldnt think it would be slipping in other gears besides 5/6?

That made me think it might be low on fluid, so I inspected the underside and I see zero traces of leaks anywhere. the undertray is dry. Whatever it is, its deteriorating very fast..
I dont know how much time I have left on this thing

But, as with all mechanical components, things can and will go wrong with enough time, and the 6HPhas been around long enough to have developed a grab bag of its own common faults. This article is going to focus on one particular fault that is something of a nightmare, and that is the dreaded "E Clutch" fault.

What is the E Clutch

Know your enemy...

The clutch is a small clutch assembly near the front of the transmission. The clutches are labelled A through E, and for the most part are laid out in order from front to back. The E clutch is the odd one out, sitting inside the A clutch assembly.

The E clutch is not responsible for a specific gear, but rather is engaged in conjunction with other clutches to achieve a particular gear ratio. This clutch only affects the higher gears, and doesn't even come into play until the transmission shifts into fourth gear.
