I have searched the forum for this topic with no results. My gearstick is often reluctant to move from Park to drive. I am concerned it may one day refuse altogether whilst away from home. I did find posts on this subject and the consensus seemed to be a problematic foot brake switch. Until I can get a mechanic to check this out, I need to know how to remove the trim around the gear stick so I can manually disengage the lock out should I need to.
