truck will not open with fob or dash button

I was wondering if anyone knows about the actuator and how to fix it on a 2004 vanden plas ,thanks in advance

can an actuator be repaired or do I have to replace it. I can here it working when I press thefob but it does not unlock the trunk

You will probably need to replace it.
Try opening with the key but press lid down when doing it.
