Default Trunk soft close not working

My daughters car, trunk might have been overfilled for driving home for Christmas.
Now the soft close does not work and draw the lid down that last little bit, "boot open" displayed on dashboard.

Lock works fine with key, but absolutely no sound of the electric motor running.
Is there a fuse somewhere, I could not find it in the listings for the fuseboxes?

I see mention of broken wires in the harness, but going with the timeframe of a overfilled trunk, thinking that is less likely?
I have 5 days to fix this, and the intake manifold leak, over Christmas, so any timesavers would be much appreciated.

The two possible fuses that I can see feeding into the rear electronics module for various servo motors including trunk (fuel flap release, rear door actuators) are:-
F13 (20 Amp) Passenger Junction Fuse Box
F42 (20 Amp)1Passenger Junction Fuse Box
You probably also want to check the grounding point G24 near the rear electronics module to see if any of those grounding wires have been unduly disturbed.

Good luck.

P.S. a low voltage battery can also inhibit the trunk closing servo.
Just double check that you have 12.6 volts or better on the battery.

Wasn't the fuses. Nor the grounding point.
Does not work even with the engine running.

I guess a trip to pick n pull tomorrow is in order.

Extracted the broken one, took the cover off the motor, can see a small spark and feel a jerk, so guess the motor/gears are stuck.
No one seems to have been successful at repairing these, so putting it back in and heading to the pick n pull.

I broke nine over filling the boot and the only fix was a replacement. They are held together with a massive rivet and then you would have to find the parts to fix it.
