Default Unable to hear caller thru Bluetooth

Have a 2005 XJ8L was taking thru Bluetooth in the car. Heard a small pop. Then I was unable to hear the person I was talking to. They are able to hear me I have paired the phone again but still cant hear the person I am talking to. I do have the touchscreen if that matters. What can be the problem

3labsdaddy;

Are your speakers still working eliminating speakers and amp as the culprit? Are you getting a DTC?
Trying to think how you can separate the Bluetooth module from the sound system.

Not all of my speakers work. That could be the problem. Is there an easy way to check which speakers are bad. Only have sound on passenger side of the car.. Have checked balance and fade. Thanks

I seem to recall my DTC reader called out specific speakers in the past. You'll need to be able to read Jaguar specific codes and in my case I have the premium audio system (amp in trunk, separate from head-unit). If you do not have a code reader you're 'shooting in the dark.' You can search the forum for code reader recommendations. I have a Foxwell NT but there are other forum members whom have also had good experience with other code readers.

Also search the forum for your speaker issue: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-xj8vp-198361/ addresses a common issue with solder joint failure to the OEM speakers. I have performed this repair myself to resuscitate inoperative speakers. You might try this to bring the speakers back. But I still recommend getting a code reader.

Best Regards, William
