Hey all, 2004 VDP 145,000 miles - suddenly the remote no longer locks the doors. The lights come on, the doors unlock fine with the remote, but the car will not lock when the button is pressed. I know the button is working because it takes a second press to make the mirrors fold in. And they do fold in after the 2nd press. Its just that the doors wont lock. When the key is turned in the lock all the doors lock / unlock as expected.

 

Do you get a "beep" when you try to lock the doors with the remote? I had the same problem with 2 previous Jags and it had to do with the ignition switch and the car thinking the keys were still in the ignition.
