I generally don't modify my cars, but I think the newer "XJ" script on the deck lid of facelifted and new models is so much cleaner than the old plaque with "XJ8-L" that I want to update mine.

Question, does the old plaque mount with just double-sided foam tape? Or is it located with studs/screws? I know the new letters are just stick-on, I assume the old ones can be removed with floss or similar?

 

Old ones are stuck on easy swap, done mine as below.
