When I first bought my xjr I replaced both upper control arms. The past year Ive notices some noise in the front end but everything looked good, including my upper control arms. Well I lent my friend my xjr for the past month and he called the other day saying there was a loud pop in the front end and now the wheel moves back and forth. I went to check it out and the ball joint literally popped out. Everything looks good otherwise.

Anyone every experience this? I've actually owned several fords with the same exact part and this never happened. I dont remember who the arms were made by but I wouldn't have bought cheap imports

Sad but true
Delco premium grade, also Moogs, that i have purchased.
Had the same third party numbers stamped on them, both made in China

 

That is scary. Glad they made noises before total failure and collapse.
