Can anyone tell me if the upper control arms for a 2004 XJ8 are the same as those for a similar age Thunderbird, Lincoln LS, or S-Type? They sure look identical and I have had them in hand and they appear to have the same dimensions etc. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes Blake. I've done the eBay search for my 05 by reversing the search. looked @ Lincoln, then cross checked the part numbers. On the 05, they are the same. Several eBay posts will say "fits, Thunderbird, Lincoln, S type all in the same listings."

 

I don't know about dimensionally but the part numbers are different according to the parts catalog.

The early s-type suspension was similar but different enough from the 03-on cars that turned into most of the front suspensions Jaguar used for many years.

I replaced my uppers and rear lowers with a mix of Ford, Lincoln,and Jaguar. All parts made by The front lowers are unique to Jaguar.
Bushings are available. But getting the complete arm for 125.00 is great.

 

I can also confirm they are identical. I recently replaced them myself.
