I am replacing the upper intake manifold gaskets and I need to know the correct torque specs. I am unable to find anything on the internet. I am aware that Jaguar sold just the manifold with the upper gaskets already intact. That is no longer the case unfortunately I am unable to purchase a brand new manifold they do not make them anymore. I have purchased new gaskets that is manufactured so the upper manifold gaskets can be replaced. They are very difficult to get to as you have to remove the whole manifold and turn upside down in order to access the screws. I don't want to mess it up so if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated.

 

I am pretty certain the procedure and specs are in the Workshop Manuals you can download here. I believe it will be in the 3rd volume "Powertrain." I have taken advantage of this information quite often. I review the pertinent sections regarding any work I contemplate. My only issue is the 6 cylinder and diesel engines are in it also. Sometimes I get caught up in reading the information before I realize it doesn't really apply to my 4.2 NA. I downloaded all the manuals as they also set forth many trouble shooting isteps.
