Default VDP air suspension

When my VDP sits for a few days the suspension falls to the lowest point. Is this normal or could it mean there is a leak?

appreciate the help.

It is definitely a leak, normally it takes weeks for the car to drop to the lowest point. I am not using my car often right now, and after sittong for 3-4 weeks it drops maybe around 3-5 cm, but definitely not to the lowest point.

Do you have a code reader capable of reading Jaguar specific DTCs? Looking whether there are error codes is the first thing I would do. After that, check the air connections to the air struts, the compressor and the air distribution in the boot.

Good luck and best regards,

Thomas

I have had the car for a long time but I don't recall it falling this quickly. I'll check for codes.

Much appreciated.

I had that for about 2 years; it would sink on driver side front after sitting a week or more in worm weather or overnight in winter. after a week it would trigger "vehicle too low" warning but would come up quite quickly 2-3 minutes.
I shared what I did step-by-step just this January:

Drive it once more, till it is all the way up then park it on leveled ground put in neutral with handbrake let idle for a minute and watch over the hood . It might level once more.
P and off , get out with a piece of paper to write down the should height is 386mm front
373mm rear center cap to wheel arch.
Unplug battery for 12h / 24 h mesure again.
you will wich strut might have a leak without the system trying to level the car.
a min of about 3 bar will stay in each strut so they don't callapse the bladder inside completely due to the retention valve below the brass nylon hose connector.

Original air springs? The OE design is known to leak around the top of the spring once they get old especially in cold. You would find this leak at the top of the spring, in the engine bay. This is not repairable, it would be time for new springs.
