Compressor relay

I think jag_genius had said last summer that relay #4 in the left fusebox under the hood is for the air compressor. I found the post and linked to it, but that has evaporated into the ether.

Looks like the relays are numbered on the fusebox in your picture to me.

Heaven, with a question like this, not everyone knows what your vehicle is. So, if you can state what vehicle you drive, it can help us help you a lot easier. Doing a bit of research, it appears you drive an XJR. Making an assumption that it is one of the newer ones (I assumed 2004), the relay is R1 (which in your picture is blank). That would explain why your air ride is not working. You will also want to check fuse F6 (third fuse down on the far left side from the top left corner).
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

Heaven, I was looking in my JTIS CD and it does talk about the relay number on the drawing. If you look at Fig 05.3 on the Adobe file that should open up when you are looking at the electrical stuff (opens up 2 files, one is the repair procedures, then there is a PDF file that should also open up that shows the actual diagrams). If you find the relay going to the compressor, in the top center of the relay, it will show you "R1". That is telling you the relay location. If you look on the exterior lighting schematic for example (Fig 08.1), you can look at the 3 relays for the DIP, front fog, and main beam relays. They all have different R numbers.
maybe the version of the JTIS that you got doesn't have the PDF drawings with it. I spent the $10 to get a CD through E-bay and I got 2 disks. Disk 1 has all of the repair procedures and the electrical schematics. Disk 2 has all the service bulletins and whatnot.

That's exactly how they make me feel when I ask for something like everyone knows but won't tell you, because they know and you don't. maybe if I change my last name to Davidson or FRANKFURT, they probably help you, maybe. because my last name is SANCHEZ they already know I am Latino...so they ask them.." what the hell is this Mexican doing on a Jaguar here between us?" and start with the mystery. I am a Mexican....not a Mexican't. I'm probably gonna be kicked out after this. and honestly don't give a ****.! the 2 only posts I wrote got deleted. so I'm gonna have to wait for somebody that has the same exact car with the same exact problem and just read what they say to him/her.

At the top of the list of threads in this forum is a section of "sticky" threads, so called because they are always at the top of the page. You've been here long enough to know about the stickies, so why not avail yourself of them? Your question is answered in the electrical diagram you can get from there, so the forum obviously does have the information you asked for.
CRAP!!! Now I see this is an ancient thread revival, so Iredirect my comment from the OP to @kabu XJR
