After I removed the rear bench seats in order to repair one of the seat belt receptacles, I noticed this gray electrical receptacle that connects to nothing. It is in the center & on the floor where the seat sits. My guess is that it was fitted to the body in order to connect some option(s) that my car doesn't have. There are 2 wire bundles on each side by the doors for heated seats, ...

If this can be fitted to something, what might it be? Maybe reading lights? Perhaps a hot tub or bidet?

Do you have rear heated seats ? Also some of the upmarket levels had reclining rear seats, I believe.

 

I have heated rear seats; but they hook to the wires on either end of the bench.

Do not have reclining seats.

 

 

It is for rear entertainment panel I suppose. Behind the backrest on the right side You also have a rear window blind socket, a good moment to add it if You don't have one /+roof console change with corresponding button/.

I have a rear window blind that opens & closes. I also have rear heated seats.
An entertainment center, which I don't have, makes sense.
