Default What's going on in these pics?

Hopefully someone can educate me a bit today...... spent some time under my xj8 and found 2 unusual items.

Rf amplifier filter. Dangling at rear of transmission. Where does it belong?

And this:

Notice capped hose behind steering rack?
Did Jaguar thoughtfully provide a convenient power steering fluid drain or has some prior "mechanic" butchered away a cooler and stuck a bolt in the hose as a plug? This is either the nicest service provision I've ever seen or evidence worthy of incarcerating the person who implemented it.

The first pic shows a radio suppressor device I believe.

Mine is exactly the same. I had to cable tie the black box up as it was flapping about.

That suppressor was originally fitted to the outside of the transmission I believe.

would the purpose be to facilitate draining the fluid during a service or something else?

I believe i found the screw on the topside of the pan mounting flange where it was originally mounted. Of course it's galvanically welded itself and is never coming out. I zip-tied the unit back to its own harness as far from the hot exhaust and trans case as I could. Has to be better than banging around on the trans mount.....
