Just curious, ia m intersted in upgrading my grilladn there is a 2001 VDP withhte mesh grill and i am unsure if it will fit, please advise

You're going the wrong way in years. The 2006 has a mesh grille.

You can buy new ones in stainless steel. I fitted these to my previous X350. Took about 30-40 minutes to fit. Of course they are not cheap.

Recently replaced the grille on my 05 VDP. I believe it was around 80 bucks on E bay. Took a little fitting but came out fine.
