So, the weather in Charleston turned to crap, and on the way back to the hotel my passenger side wiper stopped working. When I got back to the hotel, I checked it out and found that I can move it freely with my hand, whereas the driver's side resists any manual movement. Any ideas what happened?

I've got good weather on the way for the drive home, and the important side still works anyway, but if this is an easy fix I might be able to do it before I hit the road.

 

Tighten the nut on the wiper arm shaft?????????????????

Thanks, Bob. I was just coming back on to say that that's what the problem was. Everything's back to normal now. 20 years on the road, and I'd never had this happen.
