X pipe or H pipe?
Hey friends. Question...
I owned a XKR back a few years. I remember I cut the center mufflers off and X piped it. Sounded like an Aston Martin.
On this vehicle I just want a little purr.
Is it true that H pipes balance the tone better?
Thanks in advance

I removed the center resonators and ran an X-pipe with the stock mufflers for a while. Exhaust was noticable inside the car when under acceleration otherwise it was quiet.
Wished I would have tried Zazzy's expeirment. Sounds like a Sprint Cup car.

LOL. Close enough. My neighbor loved it when I fired it up. He was the guy in the background who said "wicked."
I have 100 cspi cats with 3in pipe before the cats and 2.5in after
First muffler replaced with an x pipe
Resonators in place of second muffler
Dynomax vt mufflers in the rear
Initially I did not have the resonators but added them to take out some of the high pitch raspy sounds.
Also the VT mufflers an internal bypass at full throttle, the effect was close to open pipes. The resonators took the edge of it.
Never had any drone though but I lost the S/C sound
Cheers
