Hey guys, this is my first car with some real power, and certainly my first supercharged car.
Is it normal to blow some smoke when you gun it? I mostly see it at night in the headlights of a car (now far) behind me so it's not black or dense white like oil or water leak.
Only engine code I have is a pending code, cold start performance, so no CEL.

 

When you go into boost the ECU will start to dump a lot of fuel to prevent a lean condition that could cause catastrophic engine failure. The black smoke is un-burnt fuel.

 

It's not supposed to add that much!

 

I have my cats removed and exhaust opened up plenty. Mine blows out pretty good size sprays. Hasn't been an issue.

But don't ever rev it up hard inside the garage with your exhaust facing your wife's brand new washer and dryer!
