X350 VACM - Program Language via WDS?
Hi Guys,
I'm installing a bluetooth module in my 2004 XJ8 and figured it might be a good idea to find a VACM.
This has been a challenge.
For those members familiar with WDS - can a Visteon VACM module that is in another language (UK) be re-programmed to US?
I have WDS - Jaguar 43
Just curious.
Thanks - Anthony

There are 2 types of voice modules with 10 configurations
The 2 type are front or front/rear (rear entertainment)
You can purchase the voice module configured for
Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, UK or US
The 10th option is "Dealer configured". This allows the unit to be configured (programmed with wds/ids) for any of the above countries
Im not sure if it is then permanently set once programmed as I have never tried.
So a ""Dealer configured" or blank module = one of the country modules once programmed.
Changing the country after first programming is not known
If you work it out either way please report back so we then have that info
Cheers

How do you know which type you might have? I'm guessing it's the last two characters in the part code. Mine is 2R8F-14B292-AC.
What exactly does the VACM do? If you don't have the Jag phone installed is there any use for the VACM?
2R8F-14B292-AA, -AB, -AC, -AD = US English
2R8F-14B292-BA, -BB, -BC, -BD = British English
2R8F-14B292-HA, -HB, -HC = Australian English
2R8F-14B292-DA, -DB, -DC, -DD = German
Other languages have other suffixes, French = Fx, Spanish = Ex, etc.

so, are these all interchangeable?
