What are the differences between the XJ8 2006 and the XJ8 2008 apart from the exterior style? And how does the reliabilities compare?
I currently have a 2006 XJ8L with which I am very happy but a 2008 has caught my eye.

On the 08/09 the new front is nice but I wouldn't buy it because of the hidious fender vents......what were they thinking? If you like your 06, I would keep it.

If it was me, I'd stick to your '06. The "restyle" on the '08 if you can call it that, seems to me to be a means of saving the cost of the chrome bumper trims. It is really awful looking IMHO although I know others on this forum disagree.

AFAIK there were no internal changes. By the time the restyled model came out, Jaguar were struggling to sell the cars in any numbers.

 

Interior changes include:

• HD Radio available
• New integrated bluetooth module (PSE and BTUM now combined)
• Climate controlled front seats available
• Seats are also newly designed
• Active head restraint system in seats
• New passenger seat sensing system
