That diagram came from the JLR manual. Do you have a copy? They are free if you can find one. Several threads about where to get one.

I just charged a x350 battery from may 24 ,done 6000 miles ,Varta G3 12v 95ah 800amp on a very gentle motorcycle battery charger at 600mah for 3 days.
now it says 12.87 volt At room temp Better than new.
A good new one should be 12.6 V
once installed and plugged the car voltage probably drops to 12.4V
You can get your battery tested on crank power wich should be around 800 amp. If crank power is to low lets say 500 amp then ,despite charging it is bad.
if you start car and read the voltage on the xj6 the alernator gives 15.4V then drops down to a mere 13.4 V after lets say 2 minutes driving.
you could have a ground stud problem especially the 3 at the front behind the headlights.
you can reach 2 of them easy undo the nut take of the cables brass brush everthing and tighten the nuts slightely .
they tend to break off. snap In that case bumper off , headlights out , drill 3 new holes , i put aluminum bolts to make new connections .attention at the fuse bor right side do not drill too deep.
those ground studs are the reason for flickering xenon headlights and other problems on those cars.
heavy rain 2 places in the boot for ingress just below rear window those seams with the rivets and the glue in between can be cleaned out and filled with transparent silicone. Done that on 4 cars with sucess. The other place is the rear lights seal area letting in water wich lands in the spare tyre and airsuspenion tank valve block and fusebox. Taking them out and cleaning reinstall 3x 10 mm nuts on the inside and the main connector 10 min per side.
feel your carpets in the foot room esp passenger.
Water can flow from pollen filter box into the cabin because of debris in the drain hole and hose below.
clean out box and try with a cup of water . If not evacuated in a bout 5 seconds try to free it from debris nuts leaves sticks and gunk . If water level gets to high it will flow in and drip onto ECM behind glovebox
